CHICAGOAN TALI CLAVIJO MOUNTS A COMEBACK AND MAKES IT TO THE “TOP 12” IN THE MASTERCHEF COMPETITION

Tali Clavijo stunned millions of viewers Tuesday night by making the most tempting dessert of the evening!                     

Chicago—June 29, 2012—Northside resident Tali Clavijo is competing on Season 3 of MasterChef starring celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot, and Joe Bastianich. 

And Tuesday night Tali advanced to the “Top 12” in the competition by making a stunning dessert which prompted Chef Graham Elliot to remark to the other judges, “In all honesty, Tali’s looked prettier than anyone else’s dessert out there…”

Tali constructed a modernist rendition of an American Classic, Strawberry Shortcake, by utilizing nitrous oxide whipped foam and putting together a picturesque presentation. Upon tasting Tali’s dish, Chef Graham Eliot said, “This is really good… I like the strawberry foam actually; it gives it a nice concentrated flavor.”

Tali’s dish was one of the top dishes Tuesday night, making good on his promise at the top of the show: “Tali is going to have a come-back.” And at the end of the show Tuesday night Chef Graham Elliot agreed, saying to Tali, “…this is one of your best.”

On the next episode, airing Monday July 2^nd at 8pm, Tali and the rest of the cast will be competing in a Team Challenge involving Food Trucks. Last time on the Team Challenge Tali was chosen last, Monday night he may very well be the first one chosen. 

Tali will be making an appearance at Bloomingdales Medinah Temple, 600 N. Wabash Ave in Chicago on Saturday, July 14^th, 2pm – 4 pm cooking dishes featured on MasterChef.
