Highland Park Nursing & Rehab Center Becomes a Sponsor for Deerfield 5k to Stop Lung Cancer
LUNGevity and Highland Park Nursing & Rehab Center, among other sponsors, work together to make lung cancer a national priority with a 5k Fun Run and 1-Mile walk on May 6,2012 to stop lung cancer. LUNGevity is proud to be awarded Charity Navigator’s coveted 4-star rating for fiscal integrity. Highland Park Nursing & Rehab Center’s sponsorship helps them to achieve their goal to “Stop Lung Cancer Now.”
Highland Park Nursing & Rehab Center, a premiere rehab facility on Chicago’s North Shore, is the ideal place for short term rehabilitation or long term comfort. They’re newly remodeled facility and all of the amenities within is committed to excellence and is only matched by the successful outcomes of their patients.
In working with LUNGevity, Highland Park Nursing & Rehab advocates for research focused on early detection of lung cancer and targeted treatments. With sponsorships, participation and donations through the 5k event, LUNGevity is also able to provide online support and education for those effected by lung cancer.
The Breathe Deep Deerfield is a 5K fun run, 1-mile walk and balloon launch that starts with 4 laps at Deerfield High School’s tack, continues through the forest preserve behind the school. The Breathe Deep Deerfield is stroller and wheelchair friendly, and pets are not allowed on the DHS campus. This event raises crucial funds for lung cancer research.
