Another hot day was in store for us on Wednesday, but for 38 bicycle riders from Push America,Journey of Hope,  it was just another day to ride.  "Today it was a short one" according to some of the riders, "we only had to go 60 miles from Milwaukee to Glenview."

A Big Blast had the honor of hosting the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity brothers,  as they trek across the country during the summer, raising awareness for children and adults with disabilities.   

Water balloons started the afternoon, a quick and fun way to cool off, followed by games, dancing, a bbq, a martial arts demonstration and a buddy baseball game.  Holly Nagel, balloon artist extrodinare from Twist 'n Shout, amazed us with animal creations, and Therapuetic Kneads made everyone happy with their fantastic massages.

Some serious dancing took place on the Flick Park dance floor, With Charizma playing great tunes.  "Watching the Journey of Hope riders dancing with all the kids and teens was as heartwarming as it gets".

"Living in Glenview for the past 25, it makes me proud to have my community come out so strong with sponsorships and help", Rhonda Penzell said.
