Mark Joseph Mortell died April 29 at Highland Park Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

He was the son of the late Richard and Helen nee Byrne Mortel; brother of M. Constance (Thomas) Barrington, Richard (Cecilia) Mortell and Paul (Heather) Mortell; and uncle of Kathleen Barrington, Mary Catherine, Richard and Daniel Mortell.

A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. May 20 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview.
