TOPS Kennel Student Ready for New Home
Orphans of the Storm, a 501(c)(3) animal shelter, is pleased announce that Bobby, a Tyler Fund recipient, is now available for adoption. Bobby is a 10 month-old, male American Bulldog/Pitbull mix.
Established in 2012, the Tyler Fund was initially created to help a hard–to-adopt dog named Tyler, who had arrived at the shelter as a puppy. After two years of failing to find an adoptive family, the agency knew something had to be done. Tyler was enrolled in basic leash training at TOPS Kennel in Grayslake.
The trainers were impressed with Tyler’s spirit and personality and discovered that this big, out-of-control dog just wanted a chance to please and be loved. Tyler never went back to the shelter. He was adopted by a wonderful couple and their five-year-old female dog, Simona. Today, the two dogs are best buddies and the family feels blessed to have been able to offer Tyler his second chance in life. Donations from the community maintain the Tyler Fund for dogs that need training to improve their shot at finding an adopter.
Bobby has completed obedience training, is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting him, please contact the shelter at 847-945-0235. The adoption fee is $90 and will include 2 free training sessions at TOPS to help you bond with Bobby. We will also consider a foster home until a permanent adoption can be made.
Located at 2200 Riverwoods Road in Riverwoods, visitors are welcome daily from 11am-5pm for adoptions.
