Deerfield resident runs for Congress; District 113 referendum rivals meet.

Politics: Deerfield resident Brad Schneider announced his candidacy to represent the Illinois 10th Congressional District on Wednesday. He'll be running against for the Democratic nomination. Assuming he gets it, and assuming the district doesn't drastically change after , he'll be running against  in 2012.

Schools: District 113 representatives met with of the district's for its two high schools Tuesday night. The purpose of the meeting was for supporters and opponents to present their opinions on what they'd like to see in a new renovation plan. How'd it go? Click to find out.

The Park District Board holds its first meeting tonight since . The board meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be followed by the park district's annual meeting, where officers will be elected.
