Communities all over the Chicago area will offer fireworks in the coming days.

Patch has put together a map of all the Fourth of July festivities occurring in the north and northwest suburbs.

Meanwhile Highland Park will celebrate with a look back in time, honoring significant anniversaries this year: Highland Park Public Library (125 years), Girls Scouts (100 years), Sunset Foods (75 years), Ravinia Festival Women’s Board (50 years), Sherwood School (50 years).

Want Highland Park news in your inbox every morning? Subscribe to Patch's newsletter.

Please, add all your favorite spots to watch fireworks to our public collaborative map. You can also post it in the comments!

You can offer tips about where to park or the best place to unpack the picnic, or just let us know which town offers the best show.

The map shows pins with all the area fireworks shows and links back to the important details — when, where and how to get there. If you need any more information from us, just let us know.

And you can drop a pin on the map, too, to help out your friends and neighbors. Just click the big red "Edit" button to the left of the map and then drop a pin or use the hand to navigate around the north suburban area to see what's available. You can also zoom in and out.

We can't wait to hear from you.

Since I moved to Highland Park, my favorite spot has been my backyard... with a "just in case" garden hose in one hand and a beer in the other.
