Where/When: Friday at NY Slices from 7 p.m. till midnight and Norton's at 9:30 p.m.
Why Go: Because the only thing better then belting your favorite songs is getting to do it twice in one night on the same block.
What: District 113 School Board Forum
Where/When: Congregation Solel; Sunday at 10 a.m.
Why Go: The $133 million high school renovation referendum is one of the most contentious topics voters will face April 5. All the candidates for the District 113 school board have been invited to this forum and will take questions from the audience. The referendum will undoubtedly come up.
What: Family Game Day
Where/When: NY Slices; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 pm.
Why Go: Accept that it's still winter by spending the day indoors, surrounded by eight big screen TVs and pizza, not to mention XBox and board games.
What: The Merry Wives of Windsor
Where/When: The Highland Park Public Library, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Equity actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago perform a theatrical reading of this Shakespeare comedy about an overweight knight suffering a middle-class crisis.
