English rockers The Moody Blues performed Saturday night at Ravinia Festival.

Misty weather didn't stop the crowds from filling Ravinia's lawn to see English rockers The Moody Blues on Saturday night.
With 14 platinum and gold records from 16 studio albums and other live recordings and compilations, the trio, accompanied by orchestral elements, played some of its most famous hits, including "Your Wildest Dreams," "Nights in White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon" and "The Story in Your Eyes."
The band had the pavilion crowd on its feet and fans throughout the park grooving throughout the night.

The Moody Blues of 1964’s British Invasion sounded much different than the group that later fused rock and classical music in “Nights in White Satin.” Their first hit “Go Now” was a cover of a little-known R&B track by Bessie Banks. Rockaeology at http://bit.ly/j62HX0 tells how Denny Laine’s vocals and Mike Pinder’s piano made it a rock classic. The Bessie Banks original was produced by Leiber and Stoller, who called it “the most over-looked soul performance of the sixties.”
