New Bulls Coach Moves to Highland Park
Tom Thibodeau is coming to the neighborhood.
Chicago Breaking Business reports that Tom Thibodeau, the new Chicago Bulls head coach, has leased a three-bedroom row home west of downtown Highland Park for $4,900 a month.
The 52-year-old signed a three-year, $6.5 million contract with the Bulls in June. Before that, Thibodeau was an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, where he made his mark by improving the team's defense during their 2008 title run season.
Thibodeau isn't the first Bulls coach to settle in Highland Park. Because of the city's proximity to the team's Deerfield practice facility, Highland Park is also home to Thibodeau's predecessor Vinny Del Negro, who coached from 2008 until he was fired earlier this year.
According to the original article, Thibodeau's new Highland Park home has "three full baths, two half baths, one fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, a study, an elevator and a finished lower level."
