PHOTOS: First Patch Meet-Up A Huge Success
Readers, reporters and even a state senator met and mingled over delicious food and drinks.
About 25 people came to Vibe at 1935 Wednesday for Highland Park Patch's first ever meet up.
Patch contributors Ed Brill, Betsy Brint, Sally Higginson and Steve Sadin were joined by Patch bloggers Lane Young and Bob Levi, local business owners like Marla Levitt and Patch readers, including state senator Susan Garrett (D-Lake Forest).
Vibe owner Lisa Norcia went above and beyond as a host, offering free samples of delicious pizza, quesedillas and cupcakes. The bleu cheese and bacon pizza was a crowd favorite, and the basil and tomato pizza included basil fresh-picked from Norcia's garden.

Thanks to our editor Jacob Nelson for organizing the first official Patch Meet-Up. We appreciated the opportunity to mingle with residents, merchants, readers and fellow columnists. Anytime you serve up that Vibe pizza and a glass of wine - I'll be there!

Agreed - and thank you to Lisa and Vibe at 1935! What I do think is funny, Betsy, is I did not get to talk to you or Sally... or Steve Sadin... we were too busy talking to our readers! I would do that again anytime.

I'm so mad I missed this! A last minute commitment came up. Please do this again soon!
