This weekend, take in some opera, warm up by a campfire and celebrate a hundred years of business, all without leaving the city.
Vocalist Teresa Eickel performs Friday at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall. The soprano talked with Highland Park Patch about how bad her voice was when she first started singing, and why she's looking forward to her solo performance at Ravinia. "At an opera, there are so many other things to distract you," she said, "At a recital it's just you and the audience." Tickets cost $25 to $50.
