Making a half court shot in basketball is not something that happens often. Unless you're Jake Norcia.
The Highland Park High School senior has made three half court shots this year. He scored one to win a game in overtime and one at the half to tie a game up. His longest shot, shown above, was at the end of the first quarter.
Apparently, his playing has not gone unnoticed. Patch has it from a very reliable source that Norcia is being recruited by some Division III teams (yes, that source is Lisa Norcia, Vibe at 1935 owner and Jake's mother).
Check out the video above of Norcia making a shot at the buzzer during a game against Niles North above.

Seems like this is more of a full-court shot - wow

I agree with Paul. This is a full-court shot and it's amazing. Paul, hit the all-caps. WOW.

Yes, the headline writer needs to go back to HPHS or maybe D112 to learn the difference between 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, etc. I would say that at a minimum that was a 3/4 court shot. Good luck to Jake on his college career.

I sent the video to my 52-year old son who played variety basketball in the late 1970s on the Niles North court shown in the video. His comment back was that he had spent lots of time in that gym and it brought back good memories.
