It's that time of summer again.

Tents are getting set up along Central Avenue in downtown Highland Park in preparation for this weekend's 28th annual Port Clinton Art Festival. More than 250,000 art enthusiasts will travel through Highland Park on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., perusing the works of 260 worldwide artists.

The festival also includes kids activities like a scavenger hunt and art projects. Attendees can also partake in interactive art demos and educational booth chats taking place all weekend long.

The festival kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the fifth annual Taste of Highland Park. Enjoy some tasty barbecue from the North Shore's hottest new brisket place -- Real Urban Barbecue, or stop by the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce's beer and wine tent. In honor of the Taste’s five-year anniversary, some restaurants will offer $5 favorites.

The renowned rock band Herman’s Hermits headlines this weekend's event, with other artists like Kevin Chalfant’s Journey Experience, Od Tampo Imi and Soul Cookin’ performing as well.
