The board will likely vote on the redesign in an up or down vote on July 26. The project's construction is estimated to cost $4,661,372. $850,000 of that will come from grants awarded to the park district, $971,000 will come from money set aside by the park district and the remaining $2,840,371 will come from the park district's reserve fund. No additional taxes would be levied on residents for the improvements, according to the park district.

Stakes and flags have been placed at Rosewood Beach to mark the location and size of each of the four buildings recommended by the Rosewood Beach Task Force. The Park Board encourages residents to view the footprint on the beach and provide feedback.

Except for the Interpretive Center which has no place on Rosewood Beach!

Less is more. The best thing about Rosewood Beach is the nature: lake, sand, sky. Bathrooms, sure, although the current bathroom trailer is very adequate, clean and low cost.

Super, now if we could clean up and do something with the building on the Ravine Drive beach. Much of it is a structure that is vacant and open which does not lend itself to good things in this very remote lightly used area.

The building on Ravine Drive has the Interpretive Center without any major construction. It has a toilet and shower. Lets place a shower and toilet at Rosewood and use the Interpretive Center at Ravine Drive. Call Carl Lambrecht 847 432 8255 or email lambrecht@laurelindustries.com
