Where's the Best Burger in Highland Park?

With Memorial Day coming up, we're looking for the best place to get a mean burger.

Update: The polls are closed! Check back soon for the winner.

Earlier: Memorial Day is fast approaching, which means nice weather and a reason to barbecue.

And with that in mind, the upcoming holiday also offers Patch the opportunity to find out where readers think the best burgers are in Highland Park.

As usual, readers can vote through our poll below and by reviewing your favorite store in our business directory

If you spot a place that's left out, leave a comment and we'll add it to the list. Winners will be decided by a combination of poll votes and reviews on their directory page. Polls close at 9 a.m. Friday and we'll announce the winner later that day.

Can't respond to this as we think the best burgers in town are at tNortons and Benjamin (though this one is ultyra pricey!). City Park Grill has fabulous turkey burgers!

Norton's winks burger! I enjoy Fuddrucker's too!

I like Michael's and Stash's but when it comes to burgers, unfortunately every single time I've ordered it's ALWAYS raw in the middle. I even ordered Well done at both places because of that (everywhere else I order med or med well) and still raw. I have given both places many chances. I would always take it back up and they would heat it back up, but that's not good. I still go to both places, I just never order burgers anymore.

STASHS's: hands down. As a city dweller with easy access to award-winning burgers made with high quality beef at the many steakhouses and hip burger bars downtown, I am thankful that Stash's burger is around when I come up to visit the parents. If you are serious about your meat, they use the highest grade. Even if you are not, since they went BYOB, having my own craft beer to wash it down makes it my only choice in da' burbs.
PS Jennie, if you want your lusciously-marbled prime beef burned to the point of a tasteless, dry shoe leather for safety purposes, or because you are squeamish, I would recommend going with a skinnier burger or kids meal, even while knowing any charring of beef now carries its own health concerns. Or just get turkey. You might like it better. Beef is a red meat and it should be, uh, a little red.

I agree, I don't like over cooked burnt burgers (and won't do turkey burgers, for me, if I'm eating a burger, it's gotta be beef). I love juicy pink burgers. When the outside is done perfect and you start to get to the middle and it's red (not pink, red) and the outer meet just falls off the red part.... not good. Happened every time at either place. I gave many chances. Like I said I still go, I just now order the Gyros at Stashs and Italian beef at Michaels

STASHS! Burgers are excellent. I'm a big foodie and eat out very frequently (both the city and the suburbs), and never have I had burgers as good as STASHS. It is quality meat, juicy, and the staff always cooks it to my liking. I have many friends who travel to the suburbs for lunch on the weekends just for a STASHS meal. And, I have to comment...I am not only a fan of their burgers, but I think their menu is terrific as it offers something for everyone regardless of their palate.
