Alyssa Knobel is an incredibly active and informed member of our community, with a deep understanding of our government and community issues. She has spent years as an active member of the Jewish Council for Youth Services (JCYS) Board, the PTA, the League of Women Voters and the HP Historical Society.  That broad experience has been punctuated more recently with her experience as the Chairman of Highland Park’s Business and Economic Development Commission.  This leadership position has given her a deep understanding of the economic concerns and challenges for our business owners, and she has worked tirelessly to nurture  their relationship with our city.  Her involvement and dedication spans many of our business districts, as she is a Board Member of the Highland Park Downtown Alliance and committee member of the Ravinia Business District Alliance Advisory and Briergate Business Association District.  Alyssa always takes the time to listen to HP's business owners as well as her neighbors and friends with a true concern for her community.
I have also personally worked with Alyssa, and have been overwhelmingly impressed with her organizational skills, energy, dedication and follow-through. She thoroughly researches an issue without rushing to judgement, and Alyssa will help our City Council to make thoughtful and sound decisions for our community.  She will dedicate her time and knowledge toward tasks that our City Council prioritizes.
