Established in 1928, Orphans of the Storm has been a refuge for thousands of stray and abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats from Lake and northern Cook Counties.  As a not for profit, the agency depends on the generosity of the community to help fulfill its lifesaving mission.  At Orphans, every animal gets every chance possible and safe and warm shelter until they are matched up with an adopter.
