On Sunday, February 17th, students from award-winning Midwest Young Artists chamber music program will perform two back to back recitals of classical works. This event is free to attend and open to the public. The performances will take place from 2:30-3:30 and 3:30-4:30pm at the MYA Center in Highwood (878 Lyster Road, Highwood). More About The Midwest Young Artists Center
The Midwest Young Artists Center is a pre-college school offering programs specifically designed for students interested in pursuing a passion for music. The programs include Music and Movement for preschool-aged children, orchestral performance programs, voice groups, jazz ensembles, symphonies and music theory and composition classes. Students enrolled at MYA have the opportunity to pursue involvement in many courses in addition to their study of a primary instrument or genre. MYA also offers summer courses and private lessons.
