Lawyers Connecting™ To Host Program in Highland Park on Ethics of Multijurisdictional Law Practice and Virtual Law Office
LawyersConnecting™, a Chicago area resource that helps lawyers successfully run their practice as a business, will host a program entitled: “Ethics of Multijurisdictional Law Practice and Virtual Law Offices.” The program will be presented by attorney Barry I. Mortge, with offices in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
The program will be presented on Thursday, September 13 from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM (networking and breakfast beginning at 7:05 AM) at Bluegrass, 1636 Old
Deerfield Skokie Road, in Highland Park.
The program will clearly define what constitutes a virtual law office to examine the resulting ethical obligations, and explore the malpractice risks associated with practicing law online and across state lines. This will include a
review of recent state and ABA ethics guidelines and forecast future regulatory efforts to help attorneys gain practical guidance in avoiding malpractice in everyday practice.
