HIGHLAND PARK, IL (APRIL 17, 2012) --- Stash’s, Highland Park’s oldest restaurant, is celebrating their 44th anniversary this year. Best known for its diverse menu and the ‘best French fries on the North Shore’, Stash’s will be hosting a birthday celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony, with Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering, for the grand opening of its sister restaurant, 2nd Street Enoteca on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 from 4-5 pm.
The newest dining concept on the North Shore - Stash’s by day, 2nd Street Enoteca by night - Stash’s transforms into a beautiful full-service restaurant out of an Italian countryside. Open daily (except Monday) at 5pm, 2nd Street Enoteca, which is Italian for “wine bar”, is an innovative new way to eat out. Recognized as one of the areas only BYOB (no corkage fee) establishments serving an authentic Italian menu made of locally-sourced organic items whenever possible, patrons love the high quality, low cost option during these economic times.
Open daily from 11am-3pm, Stash’s will continue to offer customers its full lunch menu, and take out or delivery at night. Stash’s aficionados will be pleased to know they can still get their fix after three with the new “Stash’s Classics” menu that will be offered at 2nd Street Enoteca.
The ribbon cutting ceremony, is open to the public, and will be hosted by Highland Park Mayor, Nancy Rotering and Bobby and Debbie Dubin, owners of Stash’s and 2nd Street Enoteca. Other Highland Park Chamber of Commerce officials will be in attendance and are invited to enjoy menu tastings from 2nd Street Enoteca. 2nd Street Bistro will also be launching their new Spring menu.
In order to properly thank their patrons for supporting the business for 44 years, Stash’s is reaching out to customers to submit their favorite memories, photos and stories for a chance to win dinner for two. Stash’s is always open for lunch, take-out and delivery, and it is the only place around that serves only 100% Vienna Beef hot dogs. Stash’s also recognizes that in this health-conscious world today, there has to be options for everyone. Some healthier and less expensive menu options include an organic salad bar, and no up-charges for replacement of sides.
