The City of Highland Park presents the Veterans Day Observance featuring representatives from the American Legion Post #145, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4737 and Jewish War Veterans #29. Special guest speakers include Captain Randall John Lynch of Great Lakes Naval Station, Lieutenant Colonel John Novak, Commander of 16th Psychological Operations Battalion at Ft. Sheridan. Members of the Highland Park High School Band will perform. The event will take place rain or shine. All are welcome.

More About Memorial Park
Memorial Park honors Highland Park's World War I heroes. The names of area residents who served in the war are etched on a beautifully landscaped memorial. In 1980, the Bob Robinson bandstand was built; the acre park also includes a picnic area.
