DESCRIPTION:Kathy Weaver&rsquo\;s solo show\n"Weaver's World/Robots:Drawi
 ngs and Mixed Media will be in the The Art Center&rsquo\;s 1600 square f
 oot main gallery and will consist of work from the past 10 years. Weaver
 &rsquo\;s art is about the intersection between technology and art\, art
 ificial intelligence and robotics and is a continuing inquiry about what
  makes humans human\, as seen through the metaphor of the robot.\nOne of
  the central questions is the role of progress and how technology addres
 ses how we are using it. Airbrushed textiles\, paintings\, drawings and 
 sculpture\, some of which move and speak will be exhibited. During the c
 ourse of the exhibit the artist will be delivering a gallery talk.\nWeav
 er received an Illinois Arts Council grant for the exhibit and there wil
 l be an exhibition catalogue. She also received community support in the
  form of donations to The Art Center for the exhibit from Keyth Technolo
 gies\, Rick's Auto Care\, Adesso\, Steve Share Allstate Insurance\, Sign
