City Park Grill’s Burger Voted Best

Patch's inaugural 2014 Best of competition goes to City Park Grill with Vibe second, Players Grill third and Norton's fourth.

Breaking out of a narrow race with Vibe, City Park Grill pulled away in the final weekend of voting to earn first place among Highland Park’s burgers in Patch’s initial Best of Highland Park contest.

Of the 3,045 votes cast, City Park Grill accumulated 44 percent with Vibe getting 29. As of Friday, the two restaurants were running neck and neck. One reader, Gayle Nudelman, liked the way customers decided the contest. “Just really nice to know your customers get you in the running,” She wrote.

Players Grill earned 11 percent of the vote while nine percent of those participating picked Norton’s, which got the most nominations on Patch’s Facebook page. Abigail’s, Fuddruckers, Michael’s and Shaevitz also got votes.
