New Highland Park Business Cuts Ribbon

North Shore College Consultants holds grand opening at new offices after starting as a home based business.

What started as a home based business by two Highland Park women in 2011 has grown into an enterprise strong enough for downtown offices across from the Highland Park Public Library.

North Shore College Consultants, operated by Amy Herzog and Debbie Kanter, both of Highland Park, cut the ribbon on their new digs at 493 Laurel Avenue today amid a crowd of local business and government leaders as well as family and friends.

“We started out in our homes and worked in our clients’ houses with their dogs jumping all over us,” Kanter said. “When we started getting calls from Orland Park and Vernon Hills we decided we needed an office.

The company has a following not only in Highland Park but Deerfield and Lake Forest as well.
