Renaissance Gets Big Temporary Tenant

Stark and Baker warehouse sale continues through Nov. 17 in former Saks space.

If you are looking to purchase floor covering or furniture not ordinarily offered directly to the public, you have your chance through Nov. 17 in downtown Highland Park at the former Saks location in Renaissance Place.

Baker Furniture has taken up residence in the second floor of the building while Stark Carpet is selling its wares on the ground level. Stark normally sells its products directly to interior designers and this is a rare opportunity for the public, according to Nyan Gabriel, who is managing Stark’s operation in Highland Park.

“We are very, very high end,” Gabriel said. “When it comes to floor covering nothing is higher (quality) than us.” Installation is also available.
