Samantha Stolberg For D112 School Board

As a parent with two children in D112, I am deeply concerned about the state of our district.  Our district is facing severe financial issues because previous boards refused to make difficult decisions and instead kicked the can down the road to us.  It's time for us to stop passing the buck & move this district forward. 

Bottom line,  our children deserve the best and to provide that we need the right leadership.  That's why I support Samantha Stolberg.  As former teacher, one who received numerous awards for excellence, she can help mend the relationship with the teachers union, a relationship damaged by last year's strike. With another negotiation set to occur within the next 18 months, fresh ideas are needed.  Both sides need someone who can understand the other side's thinking and Samantha brings that knowledge.  As a D112 parent and taxpayer, she sees and understands the community's side, as well.  With people like Samantha, maybe we can reduce or eliminate the chance of another strike, yet still protect our long-term future.

Labor relations is not the only area where Samantha will be an asset to our community.  She understands the value of cooperation and will work with our other units of government to realize efficiencies that will result in cost savings without any impact on services. That's the type of outside the box thinking we need.  

We all want the best for our children.  Let's put the right people on the D112 Board so we can ensure that our schools reflect our commitment to our children. A vote for Samantha is a vote for excellence and for the future.
