Operation Thank You Helps Honor Children From Military Families

Help honor children from military families by writing a thank you note and dropping it off at any North Shore School District 112 school.

April is national Month of the Military Child.  In North Shore School District 112, approximately 325 children come from families where one or both parents serve in the military. While their parents make sacrifices by serving our country, the children also make sacrifices when their parents are far from home for extended periods of time.  The entire community is invited to help show their support for our children by taking part in Operation Thank You.  To participate, make or buy a thank you card, write a note of appreciation, put it in an unsealed envelope, and drop it off at any North Shore School District 112 elementary school, or the district office, no later than April 20.  The cards will be distributed to our military children on or before the end of the month.
