Health Care Reform, Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act - Whatever You Call it, Its Time is Now - Tues., Oct. 29 - 7 pm - Highland Park Public Library

The country’s new health care program and what it means for each of us will be the focus of the opening public meeting of the League of Women Voters of Highland Park/Highwood on Tuesday, October 29. Doors will open at 6:45 pm at the Highland Park Public Library, 494 Laurel Avenue, lower level, with the program beginning promptly at 7 pm. There will be opportunity for audience questions.

Free and open to all, the meeting will feature a panel of individuals who will report on the overall program benefits, the population of individuals who can participate and finally how our communities can access the most current information and participate in purchasing health insurance coverage.

Among the panelists are Dr. Mark Rosenberg, pediatrician for over 30 years and current faculty member at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine; Jillian Phillips, Chicagoland organizer for the Illinois Campaign for Better Healthcare; and Anne Bassi, supervisor for Moraine Township which will be a local coordinator for the outreach and enrollment process.
