The Healthcare Foundation is run by a board of 11 volunteer trustees that yearly accepts grant applications, reviews them and then makes decisions on how to allocate funds.  Each year, the Foundation provides a grant of $4.0 million to offset Highland Park Hospital’s costs of uncompensated care and other clinical programs while providing millions of dollars in additional grants to other charitable organizations that provide health and health-related services in the geographic area.
