Park District of Highland Park Table Tennis Program

The Park District of Highland Park Establishes Table Tennis Program

Table Tennis, the most popular Olympic sport in the world, is an excellent game for people of all ages. With the correct technique the ball is kept in play leading to an excellent cardio vascular workout. The game is also good for hand eye coordination. This benefits tennis players and participants in other racquet sports.

For seniors and middle age athletes table tennis is a great social experience and entails little risk of injury. For young people the game is a great equalizer. You generally have to be big to participate in contact sports such as football. Table tennis is a sport where skill rather than size is the key to success.
