Port Clinton Art Festival and Taste of Highland Park THIS Weekend!

For 30 years, the Port Clinton Art Festival has been recognized as one of the most successful juried art festivals in the country.  Currently rated as the number five art festival in the country, the Port Clinton Art Festival offers fine art from more than 260 of the world’s most celebrated artists. More than 250,000 art enthusiasts travel from places near and far to visit this distinguished outdoor festival, which was founded by Amy Amdur, the founder of her namesake firm Amdur Productions. Young artists, ages 18 and under, shine in the Youth Art Division of the show, which offers younger artists an opportunity to exhibit and participate in a real art festival. Throughout the weekend, festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy art activities for kids, including an art scavenger hunt, interactive art demos and, of course, original artwork offered by master artists from around the world.                  

Kicking off the festival weekend is the 7th Annual Taste of Highland Park, which opens Friday and runs in conjunction with the festival throughout the weekend. The Taste features food and libations from many of Highland Park's most notable restaurants, including Benjamin Tapas, Café Central, City Park Grill, Frost, Fuddruckers, Highland Pop, In the Raw, Jade China Bistro, Menchies, Michaels, New York Slices, Phoenicia Restaurant, Piero’s Pizza, Real Urban BBQ, Rose’s Bakery, Sunset Foods, Sushi Kushi, and Tamales. In addition to the tasty fare, festival-goers will enjoy live music all weekend long, including performances by A Jersey Voice, Sugar High, Million Dollar Quartet, Great Divide, Gone 2 Paradise, and the weekend headliner 16 Candles.

Expose yourself to art, music and food THIS weekend at the Port Clinton Art Festival and Taste of Highland Park. The Taste opens Friday, August 23 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.  The festivities continue from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 24 and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 25.
