Merrily We Roll Along
Where/When: ; Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
Why Go: The Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical about an artist that loses his way on the road to commercial success gets an intimate and delightful touch from the Music Theatre Company's Jessica Redish. This rare production is enjoying a five-week run until May 1.

Why Go: Movie Night will feature several student-submitted films and a presentation by screenwriter Allan Loeb (Wall Street 2, The Dilemma, 21). A Highland Park alum, Loeb will discuss his experience writing scripts as well as his time spent in the film industry.

CSL Student Art Exhibition Opening Reception
Where/When: ; Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: This show, organized by CSL art educators, debuted at Northbrook Court in 1988. Since then, it's provided high school students with the opportunity to display their talents in a welcoming, non-competitive environment.

Why Go: Highland Park Poetry presents the poets and Highland Park High School graphic design students who had works chosen for the 2011 Poetry That Moves contest. Their winning poems and designs were combined and placed on on PACE busses each month. Hear and see all the poems and meet the poets and designers who created them.

Why Go: Browse items for sale, check out the outdoor patio and sample tasty refreshments at this comfortable, little gift shop.
