Highland Park High School held two special student assemblies on Tuesday for alumnus and Olympic figure skater Jason Brown.

Both assemblies were closed to the public, and in case you weren’t one of the lucky interlopers or your kids told you about it, or you simply can’t get enough of Jason Brown -- Patch is running video highlights.

Brown's speech to his former classmates was simple but eloquent, about finding your passion and dedicating yourself to it.

“I think everyone should pursue a passion. It may not lead you to the Olympics but that doesn’t matter,” he said. “Pursuing your dream is what really matters. Take risks, explore opportunities and persevere.”
