Wife of Man Who Went Missing Thanks Community for Help

Harvey Caplin's body was found this weekend along the Edens spur, more than two months after he went missing from his Glencoe home.

Harvey Caplin’s family was hoping for a happier ending after the 82-year-old went missing on a cold January night. That didn’t happen. Harvey Caplin’s body was found this weekend along the Edens Spur in Northbrook.

But his wife, Anne, still wanted to express her immense gratitude for the help she received from the community, from the Glencoe Public Safety Department who searched tirelessly for her husband to the bags of food that showed up at her door.

Anne Caplin wrote an open letter of thanks to everyone who helped the family and leant support, which was published in the Pioneer Press.
