Chicago Reads

A group of Chicago literary and cultural figures will gather at the library to read from their favorite works of literature for “Chicago Reads,” an afternoon event hosted by Chicago
Tribune’s
Rick Kogan.  Readers include bestselling authors Elizabeth Berg and  Jonathan Eig, essayist and short-story writer Joseph Epstein, comedian, author, and journalist Aaron Freeman, Writers’ Theatre artistic director Michael Halberstam, Ravinia president Welz Kauffman,
acclaimed documentary producer and broadcaster Bill Kurtis, Emmy Award-winner and Vice President of Kurtis Productions Donna La Pietra, Steppenwolf Theatre artistic director Martha Lavey, NBC Today Show correspondent Mike Leonard, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Mary Schmich, and Mayor Rotering of Highland Park.
