Chicago Symphony Orchestra: All-Tchaikovsky

Featuring: James Conlon, Conductor & Denis Matsuev, Piano

Compositional styles come and go, but the magnificent melodiousness of Tchaikovsky’s music never goes out of fashion. From the dramatic depiction of what the composer called “the inexorable force” of fate in his Fourth Symphony to the triumphant bravura of what may be the world’s most popular piano concerto to that Ravinia signature, the “1812” with live cannons, the magnificent Chicago Symphony Orchestra will revel in the glorious sonorities of this incomparable master of melody.
