Go Brazil! Ramsey Lewis and His Electric Band, Featuring Sergio Mendes

Sergio Mendes has over fifty-five releases that include bossa nova, jazz and funk. Mendes was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2012 as co-writer of the song "Real In Rio" from the animated film Rio.

Composer, pianist and jazz legend Ramsey Lewis has been referred to as “the great performer,” a title reflecting his performance style and musical selections which display his
early gospel playing and classical training along with his love of jazz and other musical forms. A native Chicagoan, Mr. Lewis represents the great diversity of music for which Chicago is noted.

Concert will feature a dance floor on the lawn as part of the 6th Annual Women's Board Dance Contest
