Highwood Chamber of Commerce Presents Highwood Festival Days

The Highwood Chamber of Commerce is holding its 43rd Annual Highwood Festival Days, Thursday, July 21st through Sunday, July 24th. The four-day family carnival will be filled with tons of food vendors, live music, raffle prizes, beer and Mai Tai tent, and more!

“We are expecting a great turnout with new and exciting food and beverage vendors, great carnival rides, games and an old-fashioned mostaccioli dinner,” says Lenny Innocenzi, Chamber of Commerce member and owner of Buffo’s.  “This is sure to be one of our biggest years yet!”

Highwood Festival Days will be open, rain or shine, Thursday, July 21st from 6pm-10pm, Friday, July 22nd 6pm-11pm, Saturday, July 23rd 1pm-11pm, and Sunday, July 24th from 1pm-9pm.  Unlimited ride wristbands are available each day for $20 on Thursday from 6-10pm, $25 on Friday from 6-11pm, $20 on Saturday from 1-5pm and $25 all day Sunday.

 

One very enticing aspect of Highwood Festival Days is the grand prize raffle. With raffle tickets costing only $5 a piece, and $20 for 5 tickets the first place winner receives an amazing 2011 Vespa Espresso Motor scooter model LX 50, with second place winning a Visa gift card worth $500, third prize being a $200 Visa gift card, and fourth place winning a $100 gift card.  The raffle is sponsored by Highwood’s local community businesses Consignments Etc, Carpets of Highwood, Washington Gardens, Maury Kravitz, Attorney at Law, Mahoney Plumbing, Del Rio, Buffo’s, Jordan Joseph Encore, Diambri & Caravello Law Offices, Beck’s Heating & Air Conditioning and Signs Now, Highland Park.

 

Festival goers can expect to enjoy a variety of food options from vendors such as Dynasty Chinese, Chicago Classic, Buffo’s, Antojitas Latinos and Brat Shop, while enjoying live entertainment.

 

•Thursday, July 21st from 6:30-9:30pm: Billy Croft & the 5 Alarm Band – country rock band.

•Friday, July 22nd from 7-10:30pm: 8 Miles South with Bill Leclair

•Saturday, July 23rd from 3:30-6:30pm: Steve Kessler

•Saturday, July 23rd from 7:30-10:30pm: The Rockin Fenderskirts

•Sunday, July 24th from 2-3pm: Vagabundo De Tierra Caliente

•Sunday, July 24th from 3-4 pm: Grupo Bien

•Sunday, July 24th from 4-5pm: Nueva Era

•Sunday, July 24th from 6-8:30pm: Spoken Four
