HP Butterfly Auctions Begin!

Here's your chance to take home one of the beautiful butterfly sculptures on Central Avenue.   From now until September 5th all 27 of the 36" butterflies will be on sale by auction at www.HPButterfly.Com.  Bids can be placed on that website, phoned into 847-730-2624 or emailed to bid@HPButterfly.com.   Auction proceeds will be divided equally between the local artist and The Art Center of Highland Park.  The Art Center was formed a half century ago to promote the arts and art education in Highland Park.

All 27 butterflies were created by local artists ... including students from Highland Park High School.   Each work is accompanied by a poem selected by the artist.   Selected poems include those from reknowned poets, but also include contributions from Highland Park grade, middle and high schools.

The exhibit, known as Highland Parks Project Butterfly, is a collaboration among local Artists, Retail Merchants and Property owners to create interest and beauty in the Central Business District.  Buying a butterfly is a great chance to support that worth cause ... and decorate your home or garden with one of kind, beautiful works of art.
