See Capitol Steps with local Democrats

The Moraine Township Democratic Organization (MTDO) is planning a trip to the Capitol Steps - not the concrete steps in Washington DC, but the musical comedy troupe The Capitol Steps. The local Democratic grassroots group is preparing for its annual fund-raising pilgrimage to Skokie to see the much-loved Capitol Steps, known for political satire in song and dance, on January 23rd at 3 PM at Centre East, 9501 Skokie Blvd.  For more than 25 years, Capitol Steps have been presenting a continually evolving musical comedy revue with skits that bring out the humor in current events and national politics.

MTDO is an organization working to elect Democrats in Moraine Township, which covers most of Highland Park, all of Highwood, and parts of Deerfield and Lake Forest. All Democrats are welcome, regardless of whether they live in Moraine or not.

For those interested in joining in a gathering after the performance, a dinner and discussion will be held at The Bagel Restaurant in Old Orchard. Tickets for the Capitol Steps performance start at $60 per person, with various sponsorship levels in place to benefit MTDO.
