See 'Taxi Driver' Tonight at Northbrook Court

Catch Robert De Niro's iconic performance in theaters on Tuesday.

Long before Robert De Niro became the comedic actor many know him as today, thanks to his roles in movies like Meet the Parents and Analyze This, he was synonymous with characters like Jimmy Conway from Goodfellas, Ace Rothstein from Casino and Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver, which screens Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Northbrook Court.

The 1976 film, directed by frequent De Niro collaborator Martin Scorsese, offers a dark portrait of a Vietnam veteran working the night shift as a cab driver in a sleazy section of New York City. In addition to De Niro's disturbingly memorable performance, the film also includes Albert Brooks, Peter Boyle, Harvey Keitel and a very young Jodie Foster in one of her first roles.

The film has been digitally restored in Sony Digital 4K to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Tickets can be purchased here.
