District 112 to Start New Year with Improved Internet

Internet dead zones in District 112 schools could non-existent thanks to technology upgrades put in place for the new school year.

Students and staff in North Shore School District 112 will enjoy greater Internet speed and connectivity this school year thanks to tenfold increase in bandwith, reported the Chicago Tribune.

The district, which has a three-year contract with Comcast at a cost of $800,000 plus upwards of $100,000 in wireless connectivity technology, expects to save 42 percent over its former provider, AT&T, according to the Tribune.
