More and more seniors are using the to connect with their families via email and apps like Skype (even Queen Elizabeth wants one The nifty Apple product provides a common thread for families from grandparents to children to grandchildren. There are even tools built into the iPad to aid those with vision and hearing impairments.
If you're a senior who can use some additional help with your iPad or , you may want to consider taking one of the classes I'll be hosting at the Lake Forest Senior Center in May and June. This hands-on class will teach participants how to set up and send email, customize their device and download apps from the . Students will also learn how to use the camera, email pictures and save their favorite web sites.

Classes will be held Tuesdays on May 17, May 31 and June 7 between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at Dickinson Hall, 100 E. Old Mill Road, Lake Forest.
