Highland Park toy store offers 15 percent discount to those that lost money when Wonder closed.

Highland Park toy store Beanstalk has decided to offer a discount to those who lost money to Wonder! in Deerfield when the store abruptly closed over the weekend.

From the press release:

In response to the news that was devastating to many consumers who lost deposits and money spent on classes, orders or memberships at Wonder!, the now closed children’s superstore in Deerfield, Beanstalk, 654 Central Avenue in Highland Park will extend a 15 percent discount on all purchases of $50 or more made at Beanstalk by customers of Wonder! who present a receipt for a paid class, purchase or membership.

Only one such discount will be honored per family and it cannot be combined with any other offer. This will apply to all merchandise in the store excluding all strollers through April 15, 2012.

Wonder!, the Deerfield children’s superstore and activity center in Deerbrook Mall closed after three months of operation because of financial difficulties, according to a story in today’s Chicago Tribune
