Jay Lovell's Highwood Restaurant Opening Soon

Jay and Darice Lovell's more casual Highwood eatery will open around the second week of April, Jay Lovell posted on Lovell's of Lake Forest's Facebook page.

They posted photos of the space being readied, including new hardwood floors made of "100 year old wood from a Tobacco Barn out of Kentucky, Showing all the colors from years in the weather." The new space is across from Ft. Sheridan on Sheridan Road. 

Highwood's "Jay Lovell's" will be more causal than their award-winning, upscale Lake Forest restaurant. The Lovell's have decided to sell the Waukegan Road mansion that restaurant sits in, though the restaurant will remain open during the search for a buyer.
