What are the Least Expensive States to Live in? Hint: Illinois Isn't One of Them!

The Wall St. Cheat Sheet, a leading financial media company, has compiled a list of "The 8 Least Expensive States to Live in the U.S." Notice Illinois is not on it.

The cost of living comparisons utilized property taxes, sales tax, cost of goods and services and unemployment rates, among other factors.

South Dakota, home to the lowest prices in the country at 13 percent below the national average, ranked as the least expensive state, according to Wall St. Cheat Sheet.
