Dr. Tenore to Cut Long Locks for Charity

Dr. Josie Tenore Marks Medical Anniversary with Open House and Extreme Hair Cut

It took Dr. Josie Tenore, a Highland Park physician specializing in anti-aging and aesthetics, many years to grow her long wavy hair. Patients at the Fresh Skin medical center have never seen the perennially-youthful doctor without her waist-length locks.

Dr. Tenore will be celebrating her 30 year medical school anniversary by cutting off 10" of hair and donating it to Locks of Love, the not-for-profit organization that provides hairpieces to disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

After the haircut, she’ll also be getting a makeover. While patients come to Dr. Tenore for a new look, this time the tables will be turned.

It’s all part of an all-day open house at Fresh Skin, 595 Elm Place, Suite 208, Highland Park. The event will also feature wellness workshops, make-up demonstrations, raffles, cocktails, and appetizers. Hours are 10 am-7 pm.

Dr. Tenore completed her medical training at the University of Toronto in June of 1984. In 1998, she earned a Master of Science in Public Health from Harvard University.  She started her career in family medicine, but founded Fresh Skin after realizing that her passion was helping patient’s look and feel their best. She is also an international trainer. Fresh Skin’s offerings include advanced skin procedures and products, medically supervised weight loss, and a range of holistic services.
