Highland Park Bank & Trust Hosts Community Forum Event “The New Genetics – What it means for your Children and Future Generations

Highland Park Bank & Trust recently hosted a community forum event, “The New Genetics – What it means for your Children and Future Generations” led by Peter Hulick, MD and William Knaus, MD, of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore). Drs. Hulick and Knaus discussed the importance of understanding family medical history, genetics, and the role they play in our lives. Also featured was NorthShore’s new Health Heritage program, which is designed to let patients create a family medical history to help interpret and understand genetic risks.  The event was a positive opportunity for everyone in the community to interact with and learn firsthand from area doctors.

Sandy McCraren, President of Highland Park Bank & Trust, commented, “We are proud to bring local businesses and our community together to learn and share information about topics that affect each of us. Highland Park Bank & Trust was delighted to have hosted Dr. Hulick and Dr. Knaus, two leading experts on the topic of genetics. We look forward to bringing more informative topics to the community in the future.”
