Former City Councilman Peter Koukos wants you to vote for Carolyn Cerf in the upcoming local elections.

I’ve been privileged to work with Carolyn Cerf on a number of projects over the years through Rotary Club and the Ravinia Block Bash.  She’s energetic, dependable, effective, and follows through. She has what it takes, and now we have an opportunity to empower her to do even more as an elected leader of our community.

As a former City Councilman, I believe Carolyn will be a trustworthy leader of our City.   She views economic development as a key to progress, but she also comprehends the need to do more with less in the current economic climate. Carolyn sees opportunities where others see only challenges. She is aware that Highland Park’s many assets can be leveraged to position our city for a bright future. She can accomplish a common goal through both leadership and teamwork, and has made intergovernmental cooperation a key part of her platform.

More importantly, I have found Carolyn to be honest in her dealings with others.  She is committed to transparent governance. I urge my fellow citizens to vote for Carolyn Cerf on April 9th

These endorsements would ring a little truer if they were actually posted by the endorser and not the candidate.

With early voting just a few publications away, I think whatever it takes to get timely insight on candidates is helpful. Endorsements from community leaders & supporters are nice but I’m looking forward to hearing from the candidate themselves at the debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters on March 10th at noon Highland Park Country Club. The LWV Voters Guide also does a great job in publishing the candidates stand on current issues. Although no longer available on paper it is made available at the LWV website. http://lwvhp.org/elections.html
